Today is a bright, cheerful and important day for all of Georgia! During all these days, the whole Kakheti region is full of happiness and joy!
We begin our tour with a visit to those most VINTAGE RIVERS - glorified Kakhetian vineyards all over the world! You won’t just see how Georgians collect the grape, but also you will participate in such a significant event. Each bunch of grape is a piece Georgian land’s soul!
An integral part of the Rtveli is the ancient way of making wine - the collected grapes are pressed in a special wooden container by feet, barefoot or in rubber boots. Juice concentrate is poured into a kvevri buried in the ground (clay vessel), where process of the fermentation begins. This is how the juice turns into a real Georgian wine.
Each family has its own secret of making wine, which is passed from generation to generation.
After such an exciting day, a traditional Georgian feast is waiting for you with Georgian dishes, wine and songs.
This evening will be unforgettable!
